Staff
Jared Timberlake
Pastor Jared Timberlake was born and raised here in Scioto County. He is a 2011 graduate of Wheelersburg High School. After high school, Jared enlisted in the U.S. Army where he spent time in Oklahoma and Texas. During his time in the military, Jared and his wife Hannah attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in El Paso, Texas. It was here, during a mission conference in 2015, that Jared accepted the call to preach and the Lord laid the vision of reaching the 75,000 people of Scioto County with the Gospel on his heart.
In October 2015 Jared and his wife moved back to Scioto County and immediately began working with the teenagers here at Sandhill. Jared began his ministry and was preaching within the church and the Christian Baptist Association. In July 2019, Jared was elected as the pastor of Sandhill. Pastor Jared and Sandhill Christian Baptist Church have a goal to “Reach the 75K”, sharing the Gospel with the people of Scioto County and the surrounding area.
Jared has been married to his wife Hannah for 10 years. They have two sons named Josiah and Isaiah. Hannah is a lifelong member of Sandhill. She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a concentration in history from Marshall University. Jared holds an associate's degree in human services from Ohio Christian University. Jared is also employed as the Fatherhood Specialist at Community Action of Scioto County, Ohio, and serves as the Chaplain and a volunteer firefighter for the Green Township Fire Department.
Tony Mollett
Sunday School Superintendent
Tony has attended Sandhill since 1981. In 2010, Tony became our Sunday School Superintendent. He is in charge of over seeing our Sunday School classes and literature. Tony is one of our many preachers here at Sandhill. Tony and his wife Brenda both teach a Sunday School class and they are the head of our hospitality ministry.
Todd and Stacey Riffitt
Youth Leaders / Deacon
Todd and Stacey Riffitt have been the youth leaders for around 27 years. They have raised their family at Sandhill and love working with the children. They are in charge of organizing special events for the children and making sure Sandhill’s Children’s Church program runs smoothly. Their desire is to see more young people come to church and begin their lives with Jesus. Todd also serves as a Deacon on our Church Board and is our Young Adult Sunday School Teacher.
Adam and Trinity Riffitt
Teen Ministry Leaders / Trustee
Adam is a lifetime resident of Franklin Furnace, OH and is currently employed as a Union Laborer out of Portsmouth, OH. Adam went to college and received a bachelor’s in exercise science, but was lead in a different direction. Adam is thankful the Lord called him to be a minister & has allowed him to serve as the teacher for our teenagers at our church. Adam is also heavily involved in the music ministry at Sandhill and also serves as a Trustee on our Church Board.
Trinity grew up in Flatwoods, Ky and currently works as a cosmetologist at Smart Style in Ashland, Ky. Trinity has lived in flatwoods for most of her life, but also spent some time in New York when she was younger. Trinity loves serving the Lord & finds it a blessing serving as a teenage ministry leader.
George Armstrong
Senior Deacon
George and Sherry Armstrong both grew up in Sandhill Christian Baptist Church. They were married in 1966. Sherry was saved in 1974 and George was saved in 1979. At that time, they immediately started working in the church. George now serves as our senior deacon. Both he and Sherry are Sunday School teachers. Much of the behind the scenes work and repairs are accomplished by George. Our church is a great place to worship because of the hard work and dedication of George and Sherry.
Ronnie Blevins
Nick Sprouse
Deacon
Nick and Halie Sprouse, along with their children Melody, Paxton, and Gracie are a blessing to our Church. Nick Grew up in Franklin Furnace Ohio and attended Green High School. Nick now works as a supervisor at the Big Sandy Warehouse. Nick Serves as a Deacon on our Church Board and Halie Helps in our Children's Church Programs.
