Ronnie and Portia served as Pastor and Pastor's Wife of Sandhill for 44 years. In 1975, the Lord saw fit for Ronnie to take the pulpit as Pastor. In 1999 God gave Ronnie a vision of a brand new building for the quickly growing Sandhill Christian Baptist Church. In 2000 that vision became a reality when the doors opened in what is now the building we call home. While serving as Pastor, Ronnie held 2 other jobs to support his family and his ministry. He served as school treasurer for Green Local Schools and Sciotoville East Schools and was the Clerk for Green Township. Portia also served as Clerk for Green Township. Ronnie stepped back and retired from being the Pastor in 2019. Though retired, Ronnie and Portia still serve as Sunday School teachers, and role models for everyone in our Sandhill Family. At that time, they immediately started working in the church. George now serves as our senior deacon. Both he and Sherry are Sunday School teachers. Much of the behind the scenes work and repairs are accomplished by George. Our church is a great place to worship because of the hard work and dedication of George and Sherry.
